Bowman and Brooke LLP responds to high client demand by hiring three lawyers, including a first chair trial attorney and two additional attorneys, as well as four legal professionals. The growth reflects the firm’s commitment to meeting the acute demands of a thriving national product liability defense practice while strengthening its litigation bench and trial capabilities within its Life Sciences practice group.

“Courts are back in session following pandemic-related slowdowns and shutdowns—and everyone is trying to get their cases to trial,” Austin Managing Partner Randall L. Christian declared. “Our corporate clients depend on firms like Bowman and Brooke to provide experienced trial lawyers in defense of their matters all over the country. We are excited to have attracted trial lawyers like Angela Angotti to our team.”

Angela L. Angotti, Partner, has nearly 15 years of experience in complex civil litigation including defense of product liability and personal injury litigation. She has extensive lead trial experience, trying dozens of cases to verdict in state and federal courts. Angela is primarily focused on defending the firm’s medical device, pharmaceutical and health care clients in complex product liability litigation.

Daniel J. Corley, Associate, supports the defense of the firm’s medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in complex product liability litigation in state and federal courts as well as in nationwide mass torts and multidistrict litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at two civil litigation firms where he gained experience managing high-volume case loads and served as second or third chair in dozens of state and federal cases.

Also joining the firm this year, as previously announced, is Patrick L. DeLaune.

Patrick L. DeLaune, Of Counsel, previously with the firm from 2011-2014, returns to Bowman and Brooke and will continue to assist clients in product liability litigation. He has thorough experience with appellate briefs, interlocutory appeals, mandamus pleadings, Daubert, pre-trial and post-verdict motions, trial pleadings, and depositions of opposing fact and expert witnesses.

Additional hires in the Austin office during 2022 are Pamela Webster, Legal Nurse Consultant; Mary Costello and Megan Becker, Paralegals; as well as Tess Starbuck, Sr. Legal Administrative Assistant.
