Angela Angotti is a trial attorney with extensive experience in defense of high-exposure catastrophic injury product liability litigation. With nearly 15 years of experience in civil litigation and a decade handling product liability defense, Angela has extensive trial experience where she has tried cases to bench (40+) and jury (12+) verdicts in state and federal courts, including multiple defense jury verdicts in federal court.
Angela makes it a priority to develop strategies to resolve cases in her client's best interest. She has been involved in all phases of litigation, from initial discovery through trial and appeal. She has defended railroads against allegations by employees alleging harm from defectively designed locomotive seats, as well as faulty design allegations involving track switches, specialized tools for locomotive and railcar repair, and track maintenance.
Angela combines an incisive understanding of the science, mechanics, and design of the products she is defending with the ability to translate complex topics in plain language for judges and juries. Her litigation experience includes selecting and developing experts on issues of causation, future medical expenses, non-economic damages and future lost wages, and she has extensive experience in deposing plaintiffs, prescribing physicians, treating physicians, epidemiologists and medical and causation experts. Angela has also defended clients in consumer protection, premises liability and catastrophic personal injury matters and has briefed and argued appellate matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Outside of the office, Angela enjoys spending time with her family and riding and competing with her horse. She also enjoys working on her passion project as the co-host and producer of a pop culture legal podcast that aims to increase the legal literacy of everyday people. It has drawn more than two million downloads.
