Ann Motl concentrates her practice defending medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in individual product liability lawsuits, mass torts, multidistrict litigation and class actions, leveraging her mechanical engineering background to practice in the intersection of technology and law. She has experience serving as national coordinating counsel for medical device companies and always strives to preserve company resources while reducing risk.
Ann has appeared in state and federal courts across the country conducting depositions, serving as discovery counsel and drafting and arguing motions. She devises and provides technology strategy throughout the lifecycle of her cases, including discovery, witness interviews, internal investigations, corporate deposition preparation and expert witness workup. She is well-versed in eDiscovery and handles almost all aspects of the discovery process for her clients including document identification, collection, protective orders, ESI protocols, document review and production of documents.
Ann is the founding member and the Past-President of the Minnesota Disability Bar Association, the second state affinity bar association in the country dedicated to legal professionals with disabilities. Ann is also a national speaker and author on the topics of AI and discovery, as well as disability diversity.
