With over a decade of experience, John Garrett concentrates his practice on product liability litigation within the life sciences and motor vehicle industries. John has served as national and regional trial counsel for national medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in individual and coordinated proceedings as well as other mass tort-related matters. John has extensive experience advising clients on a variety of complex disputes with an eye toward early and efficient resolution. 

John has considerable experience in working mass tort litigation up through trial, including directing and managing the defense of company representatives and marketing employees, general and specific causation expert work-up and Daubert challenges, as well as pre-trial proceedings and trial. John strives to identify early-resolution opportunities while aggressively defending companies while developing creative defense strategies to maximize the potential for success at trial. John also has extensive experience with eDiscovery and has managed large-scale electronic productions in mass tort litigation with a deep understanding of the processes required to identify, collect and review electronic data. John has worked on many discovery and document production issues including part of national teams responsible for company documents in several mass torts. Clients look to John for his experience in developing corporate defense strategies and evaluating complex medical, legal and scientific matters including discovery issues. 

In addition to his primary practice in the life sciences space, John continues to manage automotive warranty and automotive / ATV dealer-related litigation, consumer finance matters and various environmental and toxic tort matters on a local and national level. His litigation experience in these practice areas extends from case work-up, trials and appeals, and includes depositions, expert discovery, dispositive and Daubert motions, mediation, trial preparation and trial.

Outside of his practice, John serves as the President of the Belterra Marlins Swim Team and coaches his children in youth sports.
