Sunny Rehsi is a cross-border attorney, whose practice focuses on product liability and commercial litigation for the firm’s corporate clients, which includes some of the largest automotive manufacturers in North America.
Sunny is also experienced in representing his clients across the United States and Canadian provinces, as he is admitted in both Michigan and Ontario, Canada. Sunny defends product liability lawsuits involving industrial machinery, consumer and recreational products, motor vehicles (including automotive warranty and lemon law matters arising under Magnuson Moss) and building materials. He routinely represents his clients in class actions and personal injury, including auto negligence. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sunny represented a major manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE) across Canada to combat the sale of exorbitant quantities of counterfeit respirators.
Sunny also serves as national discovery counsel for a major automotive manufacturer. He handles all aspects of discovery including offensive and defensive discovery; document identification, collection, and review; briefing motions to compel and for protective order; and preparing company witnesses for deposition.
While at Wayne State University Law School, Sunny clerked for the Honorable Victoria A. Roberts of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, performing legal research and drafting case summaries, entries of judgment and §2255 habeas appeals.
In his free time Sunny enjoys travelling across the world with his wife. Together they have traveled to many countries across Europe and Asia.
