Matin Fallahi defends clients in litigation matters arising from product liability, premises liability and general liability claims. She primarily focuses her practice on complex automotive product liability matters and defends the design and manufacture of motor vehicles and components including those associated with autonomous vehicles.
Matin has experience in federal, state, and multidistrict litigation including jury trials, arbitrations, conducting depositions of fact and expert witnesses, drafting and successfully arguing dispositive motions, drafting and answering discovery, and participating in mediation and facilitation. Trial teams, both state and federal, look to Matin for her attention to detail, confidence, research, writing skills and due diligence when preparing for trial. As part of multiple trial teams, Matin has drafted and argued pre-trial motions including motions in limine, performed verdict and jurisdictional research, prepared jury instructions and verdict forms, and cross-examined critical fact witnesses including plaintiffs. She regularly engages in pre-trial communication with courts and opposing counsels and guides clients through trial logistics.
Matin also defends insurance companies in various coverage disputes including defense of both first-party and third-party bodily injury claims as well as negligence claims brought against trucking companies.
Outside of the office, Matin enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies and learning about different cultures. She has traveled to Spain, Morocco, Turkey, and Mexico and is eager to visit Switzerland and Japan.
