After law school and before joining Bowman and Brooke, Carolina practiced immigration law. She drafted and argued motions, memoranda of law, and briefs before USCIS, the Executive Office of Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She negotiated the settlement of commercial disputes between foreign investors (subject to immigration restrictions on their business activity) and third parties such as franchisors and she advised on corporate documents and commercial contracts such as lease, employment, subscription, franchise and escrow agreements.

In 2019, Carolina received a Leader in the Law Award from the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and was named one of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of South Florida. The recipients of the CFF award are selected based on demonstrated excellence in providing legal counsel as well as contributions to the community. She currently serves as the Pro-Bono Committee Chair of the Miami Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Carolina is a native speaker of both English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys studying interior design, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
