Orlando Senior Counsel Frank Pierce assumed the role of President of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association in the Fall of 2022 after previously holding leadership roles as Secretary Treasurer and President Elect. With nearly 1000 members, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association represents the interests of lawyers in private practice, private corporations and public agencies whose focus is primarily the defense of civil matters.
The new President described plans for the FDLA in 2023 noting in the most recent edition of The Trial Advocate. He says, "As we move forward into 2023 and through the morass of overlapping trial settings, overbooked experts, and cascading case management deadlines, remember that we are all in this together."
FDLA’s annual Winter Meeting will be held in Big Sky, Montana, from January 22nd through the 24th. Other key events for the year include the Florida Liability Claims Conference at the FLCC’s new home at the Disney Yacht and Beach Club, the Florida Insurance Network Symposium in Tampa, and the 2023 Leaders Summit at the Ocean Reef Club on Key Largo in September.
