Chambers USA Highlights Bowman and Brooke for Achievements in Product Liability & Mass Tort

We are proud to announce that Bowman and Brooke has been recognized by Chambers USA once again in the Nationwide Product Liability and Mass Torts category, Band 3. 

Bowman and Brooke is known for being a dedicated product liability defense firm, with a "deep trial bench". Chambers noted that Bowman and Brooke is "widely considered a market leader in the automotive industry, with a client list that features numerous leading manufacturers. [Their] Broad practice also includes strength in areas such as medical devices and consumer products, with increasing activity in large-scale consumer class actions."

In addition to recognizing the firm, two partners were named to the national list of individual trial lawyers in Band 3:

  • Joel Smith is a "terrific" trial lawyer who acts as national counsel on a number of mass torts for major automotive companies.  Sources agree that he is "a very fine trial lawyer."
  • Paul Cereghini chairs the firm and regularly acts as lead trial counsel in large-scale product liability cases and personal injury matters for leading automobile companies. He is also currently acting on concussion injury litigation. One source describes him as "a very good trial lawyer, practical in the automotive space and a go-to first chair."

Paired with our national ranking, Chambers USA also recognizes firms and individuals at the state level. The Richmond office of Bowman and Brooke is ranked in Band 2 for Virginia Product Liability. Chambers says "they are a team of expert product liability trial lawyers that is regarded highly for its defense of some of the country's most significant automotive businesses. Offers deep expertise in wrongful death and personal injury claims. Industry expertise also encompasses heavy equipment, drugs and medical devices, and consumer and chemical products." 

Additionally, Wendy Lumish is highlighted in Appellate Band 2 for Florida in litigation, Joel Smith is highlighted in General Commercial Band 1 for South Carolina in litigation, and Sandra Ezell is highlighted in Product Liability & Toxic Torts Band 2 for Virginia.
