Ila Zielke is building her practice in product liability, particularly in the automotive industry with a focus on warranty and lemon law cases.
During her time as a summer associate at Bowman and Brooke, she worked on multiple complex litigation matters. Ila was able to demonstrate her strong legal writing skills by drafting a motion to dismiss in a breach of warranty action for a major air conditioning provider and contributing to a large class action involving a leading automotive manufacturer where she prepared memos on the dismissal of plaintiffs based on warranty claims.
Ila’s research skills are evident in her work on a high-profile emissions regulation case, where she conducted extensive research, and her involvement in depositions for a vehicle fire case, assisting with additional research. She is known for finding on-point authority and delivering comprehensive, efficient legal documents.
Outside of her legal career, Ila is an avid long-distance runner, enjoying sunrise runs along the ocean. She previously competed as an equestrian, traveling the country with her family’s four horses. Ila and her husband also share a passion for baking, even making their own wedding cake—though they humorously forgot to bring it to the venue and enjoyed it the day after.
