Kent Warren is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who serves as lead counsel for global companies in high-stakes product liability and complex commercial litigation. With nearly two decades of experience, he has tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal courts and is regularly called upon to defend clients in multidistrict litigation, class actions and catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death matters across the country.
A significant portion of Kent’s practice focuses on defending leading automotive manufacturers in product defect litigation. He has served for several years as lead counsel for a Big Three automaker in litigation arising from the Takata airbag recall, including the Takata Airbag MDL, attorney general actions, personal injury cases and class settlement opt-out litigation. Kent is also at the forefront of emerging litigation involving advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and is frequently entrusted to serve as lead trial counsel in cases involving alleged defects or failure-to-equip claims related to ADAS technology.
Beyond the automotive sector, Kent has extensive experience defending companies across a range of industries in high-exposure personal injury cases and class actions. His class action work has included matters involving allegedly deficient financial disclosures as well as allegedly defective consumer and construction products.
Kent serves as Managing Partner of the firm’s Charlotte and Columbia offices, where he leads nearly two dozen attorneys and plays a key role in the strategic growth of the firm’s presence across the Southeast.
Outside of his practice, Kent and his wife—fellow Bowman and Brooke partner Annie Warren—spend much of their time supporting the activities of their three children. He also enjoys golf, working out and following NC State athletics.
