Anne “Annie” Carlson Warren has extensive experience in product liability defense for global manufacturers of automobiles, medical devices and pharmaceutical products, representing clients in complex litigation matters.
As a member of Bowman and Brooke’s Advanced Motions and Appellate Group, she concentrates on legal issues of national significance, including the test of design defect, warnings, punitive damages and the use of scope in expert testimony. A persuasive writer and orator, Annie has argued before the Missouri Court of Appeals on behalf of a Fortune 50 company and drafted appellate briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court, multiple U.S. Courts of Appeals and numerous state supreme and intermediate appellate courts.
Annie assists trial strategy and trial support, including in the preparation of dispositive motions, motions in limine, expert motions, jury instructions and post-trial briefing.
Annie’s varied practice also focuses on discovery for product liability matters, working closely with clients to develop and apply a consistent approach to written discovery and document production across jurisdictions. In this role, Annie helps clients with strategies to ease discovery burdens and avoid motions practice when possible.
When not immersed in litigation, she enjoys unwinding with her husband, three children and two rescue dogs in her adopted hometown of Charlotte, while remaining loyal to Kansas City, where she was raised.
