Sharla Tran is an associate attorney who represents clients in alleged breach of warranty and general liability matters. She brings unique knowledge in the field of environmental toxicology, as well as strong legal writing, research and courtroom experience.
Sharla has a background in managing discovery, drafting motions and creating effective courtroom strategy. As a Staff Attorney for the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, she first-chaired administrative law hearings and represented clients in hundreds of Santa Clara Superior Court mental health proceedings. Sharla brings value to trial teams by having a nimble and creative mind that finds solutions to complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining Bowman and Brooke, Sharla’s practice primarily focused on defending clients against medical malpractice claims where she continued to develop her skills as a litigator. She was able to review legal and medical records and work with medical staff to best represent her clients. During law school, Sharla served as a legal intern for the California Department of Public Health where she provided guidance for The Governor’s Executive Orders during the pandemic. While there, Sharla learned policy analysis and interpretation and how to support companies navigating regulatory compliance She also worked in the immigration legal clinic, successfully preparing applications for asylum, humanitarian parole and visas.
As a first-generation college and law school graduate, Sharla is an engaged community member who is passionate about advocacy work, particularly immigration, housing rights and social support for the disenfranchised. Sharla enjoys martial arts, distance running and traveling, and she has also been to over 20 countries.
