Ted Dorenkamp is a litigator and trial attorney who defends manufacturers, their products and their people in complex product liability and personal injury matters around the country. He defends some of the world's most well-known manufacturers against claims, including product defect, negligence, breach of warranty and commercial practices, having defended them in several cases to jury verdict. Ted has represented manufacturers and distributors of automobiles, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, construction and industrial equipment, consumer products and other regulated and non-regulated products in federal and state courts, including multidistrict litigation, class actions and mass tort actions.
Ted also has a burgeoning aviation practice, specifically with emerging litigation surrounding unmanned aircraft systems. He also helps protect and defend intellectual property, including patents, trademarks and copyrights. He has created and negotiated commercial contracts and licensing agreements, and helped prevent ligation through product labeling and compliance with federal regulations.
While earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School, Ted was a member of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Review. He is an award-winning author and has also been named to Rising Stars by Minnesota Super Lawyers Magazine in 2002, 2004, 2008 and 2009.
Ted received his undergraduate degree in Japanese and International Relations from the University of Minnesota, and lived in Japan for several years. He is a licensed private pilot, motorcyclist and competes in triathlons and marathons.
