Ty Sessums concentrates his practice on defending drug and medical device manufacturers. He brings to his practice diverse legal experience, passion for litigation and a strong technical background.
Ty previously advised a global technology manufacturer on commercial matters and construction contracts related to a new microchip manufacturing plant. He also worked at a civil litigation firm representing clients in both state and federal matters. There he drafted pleadings, performed legal research, wrote motions, conducted depositions and appeared in pretrial hearings on behalf of clients. Ty is also a registered patent attorney.
Prior to law school, Ty worked as an engineer at two Fortune 500 companies where he was responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting and project management in high stakes settings. Ty’s hands-on experience, analytical eye and ability to communicate complex issues to unfamiliar audiences are powerful tools in representing Bowman and Brooke clients engaged in complex litigation.
When he is not working a case, Ty enjoys nights at home with his girlfriend and their four dogs. He is an avid reader, who is just as likely to page through a sci-fi novel as he is a beach read. For a night out, he can be found at his local curling club, a live event or checking out a new brewery.
