Sam Q. Schleier

Senior Counsel

Sam Schleier defends product manufacturers in complex litigation involving personal injury, property damage, consumer warranty and other commercial claims. He has represented clients in both state and federal courts throughout California and has counseled clients through all stages of litigation, including settlement procedures and trials. His experience includes representing automobile companies and manufacturers of consumer and industrial motors in litigation and pre-litigation claims. 

Sam has drafted pleadings and legal memoranda, including demurrers, discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, and post-trial motions, prepared and responded to discovery, taken and defended depositions, prepared fact and expert witnesses for trial, made oral arguments at hearings and participated in mediations and settlement negotiations. In trials, Sam has examined witnesses (direct and cross) and argued motions.

He has also advised clients regarding compliance with local, state and federal statutory and regulatory schemes during various phases of product development and sales.

Outside of the office, Sam enjoys taking in all that California has to offer. He can often be found trying a new restaurant with friends, catching a game or spending time with family.
