Jennifer Ruiz represents clients in civil litigation matters involving alleged product defects and breach of warranty claims. She brings a background of litigation support and thrives at translating technical findings into accessible concepts.
Jennifer brings experience drafting dispositive motions, conducting and defending depositions, preparing corporate witnesses and advising clients on settlement strategy. She has also independently represented clients in mediation proceedings.
Prior to earning her J.D., Jennifer worked as a paralegal in personal injury litigation, drafting complaints, case evaluation summaries, discovery requests and responses. She also worked as a Student Attorney, representing defendants in District Court, where she gained experience interviewing clients, negotiating plea agreements and managing cases from arraignment through resolution.
Jennifer is fluent in Spanish and is active in several professional organizations, including the Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan, the Hispanic National Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and the International Association of Arson Investigators.
