John “Jay” Reid is a seasoned litigator who defends clients in the automotive, construction equipment, trucking, consumer products and insurance industries in complex product liability, catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation. In his 30 plus years of practice, he has tried dozens of cases to conclusion in both State and Federal Courts and has handled litigation for Fortune 500 clients in many states throughout the United States. He has served as trial and discovery counsel in specialty litigation on a regional basis. In addition to his trial work, Jay has served as national discovery counsel for a major automotive manufacturer.
Jay has extensive experience evaluating complicated fact patterns and evidence as well as working with a wide variety of technical experts. He has prepared, deposed and cross-examined corporate witnesses and experts in the areas of automotive and mechanical engineering, accident reconstruction, vehicle dynamics, safety regulations and standards, biomechanics, medicine and injury causation.
When he’s not working, Jay enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors and with his wife Kimberly and daughters Shannon and Catherine.
