Jay Reid is a seasoned litigator who defends clients in the automotive, trucking, consumer products and insurance industries in complex product liability, catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation. In his nearly 30 years of practice, he has tried more than 20 cases to jury verdict in state and federal courts throughout Florida as well as courts in Georgia, Alabama, Missouri and New Mexico. In addition to his trial work, Jay has served as national discovery counsel for a major automotive manufacturer.
Jay has extensive experience evaluating complicated fact patterns and evidence as well as working with a wide variety of technical experts. He has prepared, deposed and cross-examined corporate witnesses and experts in the areas of automotive and mechanical engineering, accident reconstruction, vehicle dynamics, safety regulations and standards, biomechanics, medicine and injury causation.
When he’s not working, Jay enjoys travel and spending time outdoors and with his wife Kimberly and daughters Shannon and Catherine.
