Marilyn Mollet concentrates her practice on the defense of medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in complex product liability litigation throughout the United States. After decades of experience, she is adept at complex case workup from inception through trial. Marilyn defends clients through her accomplished analytical techniques, legal analysis, defense strategies, and discovery approaches, as well as expert preparation and aggressive motion practice. Marilyn also has an extensive background working with medical and scientific experts to create effective and cohesive defense themes.
Marilyn’s pharmaceutical and medical device product liability experience is vast and includes work on trial teams for mass torts in polypropylene mesh implants, breast implants and pedicle screws. She has defended surgical devices, breast implants, implantable and wearable drug delivery systems, contraceptives, cosmetic lasers, dermatologic injectables, therapeutic pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical ophthalmics. Marilyn also has significant experience in defending manufacturers and contractors sued in cases involving asbestos-containing friction, construction and thermal system insulation products. Additionally, she has defended physicians in diverse medical specialties against malpractice claims and has been instrumental in developing clinical practice guidelines and protocols.
