MacKenzie Deal concentrates her practice on complex product liability defense for some of the world's leading automotive manufactures, with a focus on nationally coordinated discovery and eDiscovery in products cases and class actions. She works closely with clients on all aspects of litigation, including the preparation of discovery responses and coordination of document production. MacKenzie maintains focus on avoiding inconsistencies that may leave her clients vulnerable to sanctions or adverse rulings.
MacKenzie currently serves on the national discovery team for a major automotive manufacturer, representing the client in class actions and individual product liability cases. She has also handled individual cases relating to rollovers, seat belts and seat backs. MacKenzie has represented clients in both state and federal courts in Arizona as well as nationally. She oversees the day-to-day management of active cases, including developing defense strategies, managing discovery, deposing witnesses, and preparing cases for trial. She has also served as third-chair at trial in Arizona state court on behalf of a national automotive manufacturer.
Prior to joining the firm, MacKenzie participated in an advanced legal writing clerkship at the Maricopa County Superior Court where she reviewed, analyzed and drafted decisions on dispositive motions in complex civil cases.
