Patrick Lynott defends manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and motor vehicles in complex product liability litigation. He has handled all phases of litigation, from inception through jury selection.
For more than 10 years, Patrick has represented businesses in products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice and other high exposure matters involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death claims. He has extensive experience defending manufacturers and sellers of asbestos-containing products from lawsuits in state and federal courts. He has represented traditional defendants, such as insulators, and non-traditional defendants, such as pizza oven manufacturers, premises owners, and manufacturers of boilers, pumps, valves and other building materials.
He has defended manufacturers of consumer goods (including laundry pods, e-cigarettes, light bulbs and gardening equipment) from lawsuits alleging their products were defective and has a wide range of experience defending premises owners, such as bars, nightclubs, theme parks, shopping centers and skilled nursing facilities, from claims alleging that individuals were injured by negligence or defective equipment.
To effectively defend these cases, Patrick has developed extensive technical knowledge, having worked with accident reconstructionists, product engineers, industrial hygienists, pathologists and toxicologists as well as studying the latest research in asbestos medicine.
