Andrew Lane concentrates his practice on defending clients in product liability litigation in the automotive and life sciences industries. His work includes national discovery responsibilities for warranty matters, consumer disputes and complex litigation such as class actions.
Serving as second chair on multiple trials, Andrew is instrumental in preparing cases for trial and has appealed a bench trial verdict to the Court of Appeals. He brings a strong foundation to the litigation and discovery practice groups. His diverse experience includes appellate practice, business law, commercial litigation, trust and estate litigation, real estate disputes, employment litigation, professional licensing, administrative law and cross-border transactions.
Skilled in crafting and arguing motions before the court, Andrew has extensive experience in drafting pleadings including dispositive motions and responses and handling all manner of court appearances. In addition to his courtroom experience, he also has experience with case management and strategy in state and federal courts, conducting legal research on complex legal issues, managing discovery, depositions, alternative dispute resolution, settlement negotiations and trials.
Outside of the office, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, golfing, playing hockey and sailing. He is a fan of all Detroit sports teams and is especially excited for the next Detroit Lions season.
