Jason Jacobs focuses his practice on defending manufacturers in the automotive and recreational vehicle industries in complex product liability, warranty and commercial matters. His passion for rebuilding motorcycles gives him a practical understanding of the industry and its technical challenges.
Taking a litigation management approach, he develops and executes strategies that balance defense posture, settlement posture and the business impact of litigation decisions. He is settlement oriented and analytical, always looking for ways to resolve matters quickly and efficiently while identifying cases that warrant a full defense.
Jason is skilled at preparing and arguing motions, handling matters of law and ensuring his client’s positions are strongly represented. He has provided a wide range of guidance on corporate legal issues and has been responsible for risk management for businesses.
He began his legal career working in-house at a major Hollywood studio and has extensive experience in corporate and regulatory compliance as well as drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. In addition to his litigation management work Jason advises clients on corporate governance, risk management and compliance issues. He also advises businesses on transactional and regulatory matters including acquisitions, human resources and contracting.
Outside of work Jason enjoys surfing, playing rugby, riding and rebuilding motorcycles and volunteering with animal rescue organizations.
