Leigh Crews concentrates her practice defending drug and medical device manufacturers in product liability litigation. She is actively involved in all stages of litigation, from drafting initial pleadings through discovery and courtroom proceedings. Leigh has experience taking depositions, including several on behalf of a major medical device manufacturer. In addition, she is trusted to prepare corporate 30(b)(6) witnesses to testify. As a writer, Leigh has drafted and responded to motions for summary judgment and assisted with preparing appellate briefs on novel issues.
Before joining Bowman and Brooke as an attorney, Leigh worked as a law clerk supporting attorneys in depositions, court proceedings and administrative hearings. As a summer associate at Bowman and Brooke, Leigh worked on toxic tort litigation, drafting motions, contributing to individual case evaluations and assisting with a client presentation on trends in asbestos litigation. One of her notable projects as a summer associate included researching and writing about potential litigation risk involving artificial intelligence in the healthcare industry.
Leigh earned her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. While there, she served as a certified student attorney in the Gun Violence Prevention Clinic and developed her advocacy skills in UMN Law’s Moot Court program. Outside of her legal practice, Leigh enjoys exploring national parks, learning jiu-jitsu and spending time with her basset hound, Dandy.
