Jayson Blake defends product manufacturers and other companies in complex, high-exposure litigation in state and federal courts. His experience includes class actions, securities fraud and professional negligence matters. At Bowman and Brooke, he works with trial teams on complex product liability matters, including litigation involving automotive products, and assists with significant motion practice and briefing.
Jayson has held lead roles in matters involving more than $1.5 billion in settlements. He has managed teams of more than 20 attorneys in nationwide litigation, spearheaded expert discovery, overseen complex briefing and negotiated settlements ranging from $2 million to hundreds of millions of dollars.
His prior experience representing plaintiffs gives him valuable insight into how claims are developed and litigation pressure is created. He uses that perspective to anticipate opposing strategies and build effective defenses. Jayson recently helped secure a complete defense verdict for a major bank in a federal jury trial involving racial discrimination claims. He also has experience with bench trials, jury trials and arbitrations.
Outside the office, Jayson serves as an elected Trustee and Vice President of the Rochester Community School District, which serves more than 14,000 students across 22 buildings. He enjoys spending time with his son and traveling to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Saugatuck, Michigan.
