The John J. Griffin, Sr., '35 H'72 Alumni Association Award is named after one of the University's most dedicated contributors and recognizes the crucial role that volunteers play in Alumni Association programming, which is a cornerstone of the University’s advancement efforts. The Griffin Alumni Association Award is presented to an outstanding volunteer whose meritorious service on behalf of Boston College contributed to the advancement of the academic mission of higher education in the Jesuit tradition at the grassroots level of the alumni organization.

In Roshan's 20 years as a BC volunteer, he has simultaneously grown his legal practice, defending small and large corporations in state and federal courts against commercial, product liability, mass tort and warranty claims. In both local and national counsel roles, he has gained extensive experience representing major manufacturers of commercial and consumer motor vehicles, motorcycles, recreational vehicles and construction products.

Outside of his legal practice, Roshan speaks regularly on diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. He also serves on the Diversity Committee at both Bowman and Brooke and his law school alma mater, the University of Minnesota Law School, is a board member of Twin Cities Diversity in Practice, and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School and the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
