After an Illinois federal court's decision regarding the certification of a class of consumers in an alleged washer defect suit, Law360 spoke with Richmond Co-Managing Partner, Rob Wise, who offered the defense perspective on issues of class certification posed by this and other recent court decisions.
"This opinion is citing to case law for the proposition that not everyone needs to be injured or to have experienced the injury to be included as a potential class member," Rob said. "From the defense perspective, we think that is not right."
