Bowman and Brooke is proud to announce that Jennifer Covington, partner in the firm's Minneapolis office, has been selected as a 2020 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow. Launched in 2011, the LCLD Fellows Program is an ambitious, highly structured initiative built to increase diversity at the leadership levels of the nation’s law firms and corporate legal departments, and the program has grown in size every year.
Over the course of the year-long program, participants will be challenged to improve their professional brand, build relationships that enhance professional development, and sharpen stewardship and leadership skills. In addition to the new, smaller regional meetings, Fellows will also have the opportunity to attend learning experiences hosted by LCLD Member corporations Adtalem Global Education, Allstate Insurance Company, Coinbase Global, Inc., The Coca-Cola Company, Fannie Mae, PPL Corporation, Starbucks Coffee Company, and T-Mobile USA. Upon completion of their Fellows year, the class of 2020 will become part of a community of more than 2,300 Fellows Alumni who mentor younger diverse attorneys, continue with their own career training, and maintain a dynamic national network.
Additionally, Associate Ryan McCarthy (Minneapolis) was selected as an LCLD Pathfinder. The LCLD Pathfinder Program is designed for diverse, high-potential, early career attorneys with the goal of providing practical tools for developing and leveraging professional networking and leadership skills, as well as career development strategies applicable to both in-house and law firm practice.
