Minneapolis Associate Ike Messmore was recently named as a 2016 "Up & Coming Attorney" by Minnesota Lawyer magazine. Ike is one of 29 local lawyers recognized for professional achievements and leadership service to the community in their early years of practice.
Four years out of law school and Ike Messmore has already made his mark at the firm and created a name for himself in the local legal community and beyond. Focusing his practice on product liability litigation involving claims of personal injury and property damage, and commercial and class action litigation defense, Ike uses his exemplary verbal skills and attention to detail to give his clients every advantage in litigation. He has earned a reputation as the "go-to" associate in the office and as a fiercely intelligent, insightful and tenacious attorney among his clients.
Though Ike's caseload is demanding, he makes it a priority to remain active in both his local Minnesota community and the greater legal community. He currently serves on the firm's Diversity Committee where he works tirelessly to help recruit and retrain diverse talent and to promote inclusion and collegiality across all twelve of Bowman and Brooke's offices. He's also a member of the DRI Young Lawyers Committee, where he serves as a member the Steering Committee, and was recently elected to the board of the Hennepin County Sheriff Foundation, where he was appointed to secretary.
The 2016 group of "Up & Coming Attorneys" will be honored alongside the "Unsung Legal Heroes" on September 8 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis. Minnesota Lawyer will publish a special section in their September issue profiling the honorees.
