Vanessa Merassaint

Senior Counsel

Vanessa Merassaint is a go-to defense lawyer in toxic tort litigation. She has a wealth of experience in talcum powder and asbestos-related defense matters as well as premises liability litigation.

She is proficient in drafting legal memoranda and dispositive motions as well as discovery requests and responses. Vanessa has drafted pleadings and motions to strike, for summary judgment, for sanctions and to dismiss. Organization is a key to her success, as she often manages upwards of 20 cases at a time. She also handles expert discoveries and has taken depositions with more than 40 parties.

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys learning about other cultures and has become a fan of Korean film and television dramas. She also enjoys skydiving and reading.

Vanessa is a native speaker of English and Haitian Creole.
