Representing clients throughout the United States as a partner in the firm’s Dallas office, Tanya Scarbrough regularly appears before federal and state trial courts. While her experience includes defending clients in various types of litigation, Tanya concentrates her practice on product liability, toxic tort and commercial litigation representing the nation's largest product manufacturers within the automotive, consumer and industrial product fields. She has handled administrative proceedings, bench trials and appellate matters on behalf of her clients.
Tanya has defended against wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury claims alleging defect in the design, manufacture and marketing of a variety of products. Her cases have involved complex components and systems including occupant restraints, seat backs, cargo retention, unintended acceleration and overall vehicle crashworthiness. She has also defended auto manufacturers in cases involving products subject to recall campaigns and general tort claims. In addition, Tanya served on a national litigation team addressing toxic tort claims relating to asbestos and benzene for a multinational conglomerate manufacturer.
Previously, Tanya represented clients in labor and employment disputes, insurance defense and commercial contractual disputes. She has also been instrumental in assisting some of the nation’s largest product manufacturers with drafting and implementing policies and procedures for compliance with Medicare legislation impacting settlements, judgments, payments and awards.
Tanya is proficient in German and enjoys spending time with her family, running, vacationing at any beach and eating great food.
