Edmond Menchavez II Z.


Edmond Menchavez is an experienced trial lawyer who advises automobile manufacturers in complex product liability litigation. He has worked extensively with experts, including auto accident reconstruction and automotive experts. He has cross examined hundreds of witnesses and dozens of experts in court, including doctors, toxicologists, and drug experts. He has also written and argued over 100 motions in San Diego Superior Court. 

Edmond previously worked as a public defender representing indigent defendants in criminal cases from arraignment through settlement or trial. He first-chaired 45 jury trials and two bench trials to verdict, including one of the very few jury trials conducted behind masks and plexiglass during the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. 

Once a professional dancer and published poet, these days in his free time Edmond enjoys surfing, working on bicycles and motorcycles, and practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
