Darren Lee concentrates his practice on product liability litigation, with a focus on nationally coordinated discovery and eDiscovery defending some of the nation's largest automotive manufacturers in litigation throughout the country. With a master's degree in business administration, Darren has a thorough understanding of his clients' companies which supports his creative, innovate and results-driven approach to his practice.
Darren has three years of discovery litigation and product liability experience under some of the best attorneys in the industry. He has taken on significant discovery drafting and discovery case management responsibilities. In addition to his discovery practice, Darren also handles product liability cases, which have provided him with the opportunity to take and defend depositions, draft pleadings, work with experts and prepare overall case and trial strategy. Darren has been involved in multiple roll over cases alleging defects in the vehicle's stability control system and roof structure. Moreover, Darren has assisted on multiple cases involving airbag, seat belt, seat back and rear crashworthiness defect allegations.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Darren served as the Risk Manager of a major defense corporation. He draws upon the risk management principles he learned in this role to advise his clients on litigation and case strategy.
In addition to his practice, Darren is devoted to promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal community. While working to obtain his J.D. and M.B.A., Darren served as Vice-President of the Black Law Students Association. He is also a member of the national Black M.B.A. Association. As an undergraduate, Darren was team captain of the intercollegiate basketball team at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, where he studied corporate finance and risk management. In his free time Darren coaches at the local YMCA and mentors young kids.
