Jon Hernan concentrates his practice on defending major national companies in product liability, toxic tort and warranty litigation. Over the years, he has attained significant trial experience in product liability, breach of warranty and premises liability cases. Jon is well-versed in defending motor vehicle manufacturers at arbitration and trials involving Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and Lemon Law claims and serves as national discovery counsel in Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act cases.
Beyond his automotive and warranty practice, Jon defends a wide array of toxic tort matters, particularly in the toxic exposure realm. He currently serves as national counsel for a prominent chemical company and represents a chemical manufacturer in pattern litigation involving benzene and other toxic tort cases in addition to fire cases. Further, Jon has extensive experience in representing tire manufacturers in product liability matters.
Additionally, Jon represents clients in cases involving a range of products including ATVs, motorcycle batteries, power tools, helmets, manufacturers of industrial and material handling equipment, construction equipment, household appliances and electronics. He also represents condominium and homeowner associations in litigation matters.
Further, Jon has represented clients in the amusement park industry for his entire career. He has first chair trial experience in premise liability cases. In addition, Jon has presented at the Amusement Industry Manufacturers & Suppliers International Conference ("AIMS") and is a member of the International Amusement and Leisure Defense Association.
Prior to beginning his practice, Jon was a professional golfer in the Miami, Florida and Washington, D.C. area.
