Jesse Sater focuses his practice on defending clients in product liability as well as toxic tort, commercial, construction and premises liability claims. An eye for detail and exceptional writing ability help him conduct the imperative aspects of pre-trial proceedings and make him an important member of any trial team.
Jesse has defended a host of manufacturers in claims involving toxic torts and asbestos exposure. The source of alleged exposure has ranged from passenger vehicles, heavy trucks and equipment, construction materials, premises, aircraft, general construction work, generators, turbines, air handling equipment, and adhesives. He has worked up toxic tort and asbestos cases from filing up until trial, handling responsive pleadings, written discovery, depositions, document production, alternative exposure investigation, site inspections, expert retention, non-dispositive and dispositive motion practice, mediation, and jury instructions. He also serves as National Discovery Counsel for a heavy equipment manufacturer.
Additionally, Jesse has defended motor vehicle manufacturers in complex breach of warranty matters. He is also well-versed in discovery techniques, having responded to NHTSA discovery orders for a motor vehicle manufacturer and representing an insurer through discovery involving construction defect claims. Jesse has argued motions for summary judgment as well as non-dispositive and dispositive motions. He also has been involved with multiple depositions, an area of practice he particularly enjoys.
In law school, Jesse was a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, which had the highest scoring brief and competed in the quarterfinals. Jesse also practiced as a student attorney in the Legal Services Clinic and at the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.
Outside of the office, Jesse enjoys skiing, golfing and spending time with his friends and family.
