Jennifer Persky’s practice focuses on product liability defense, specializing in complex discovery, trial advocacy, and appellate litigation. She currently serves on the California discovery team for a major automotive manufacturer, developing its state-wide discovery strategy for consumer warranty cases. She has also operated on national product liability discovery teams, with experience in negotiating ESI protocols and coordinating large-scale document productions.
In addition to her nationwide discovery work, Jennifer’s litigation experience includes both trial and appellate advocacy in state and federal courts. She is skilled in developing and executing appeal tactics, including navigating the procedural aspects of appeals, and researching and drafting appellate briefs. At the trial level, Jennifer advises and defends clients in a wide range of subjects, including automotive and medical device products liability, premises liability, and data privacy. She has handled all aspects of case management from inception through trial, appeal, and settlement, including second-chairing a three-week jury trial in a workplace-safety case.
Jennifer is an active member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, where she participates on the Amicus Committee and regularly authors amicus briefs and publication requests supporting cases of interest to the defense bar. Jennifer was also recently named a Civil Justice Fellow by the Lawyers for Civil Justice, for which she will serve a three-year term as a policy advocate to promote balance and fairness in the civil justice system.
Outside of her practice, Jennifer enjoys scuba diving and working outside in her vegetable garden.
