Jennifer has wide-ranging experience handling complex legal cases and defending manufacturers of medical devices, consumer products, recreational vehicles, industrial equipment, sporting equipment, and sophisticated chemical products. Jennifer's product liability practice encompasses all aspects of the case, from answering complaints and writing dispositive motions to taking depositions, drafting pretrial motions and jury instructions, and ultimately, taking cases to trial. She has also worked closely with clients and government regulators on reporting and product recall issues and has represented long-term care facilities in wrongful death and personal injury claims.
Jennifer currently serves as national counsel for a medical device manufacturer as well as a specialty footwear company. Adept at managing large portfolios of high-value litigation, Jennifer has handled litigation in 25+ states and negotiated the resolution of large volumes of claims on a national scale for multiple clients. Jennifer approaches each case with an eye toward efficient resolution while maintaining a keen focus on defense strategy should the case go to trial. As such, Jennifer has extensive experience developing and bolstering factual and legal defenses through depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses and experts. Jennifer takes pride in her ability to cultivate valued client relationships, and to quickly acquire the knowledge and insights necessary to help guide the company and product’s legal narrative.
In addition to her casework, Jennifer has spoken frequently on the topics of preemption and indemnification as well on defense strategies to combat plaintiffs' evolving reptilian tactics and she currently serves as the Hiring Partner in our Minneapolis office. Prior to Bowman and Brooke, Jennifer worked in-house at Best Buy on their commercial litigation team where she handled a wide variety of high-exposure litigation including class actions, product liability lawsuits, patent infringement claims and governmental relations.
