Jason Hodge focuses his practice on advanced motions, with an emphasis on product liability defense, class actions, multi-district litigation (MDLs), and appeals. Although based in Richmond, Virginia, Jason works with the Firm’s clients on matters in federal and state court from coast to coast.
As both a principal and contributing brief writer in many of his cases, Jason authors motions at all stages of litigation, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, motions to strike, Daubert motions, various discovery and non-dispositive motions, and briefing on interlocutory and final appeals. He provides foundational support to the briefing and trial teams with meticulous legal research and analysis and actively participates in the development of global defense strategy. He has experience with traditional case work-up, including discovery strategy and analysis. He also works on appeals from the amicus perspective, both authoring amicus briefs and promoting client interests and positions.
Jason takes an active approach to his cases, developing a knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of the products he defends—which range from automobiles to consumer products such as football helmets.
Outside of his practice, Jason enjoys spending time with his friends exploring all that Richmond has to offer. He stays active by playing soccer and running long-distance road races. He also is an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
