James D. Carlson


James Carlson defends and advises clients in automotive product liability cases as well as appellate actions.

Prior to joining Bowman and Brooke, James defended clients in state and federal court cases involving complex commercial disputes, high-exposure liability, and personal injury. He managed aspects of civil discovery and drafted motions submitted in federal, state, and municipal courts. He conducted dozens of witness interviews in civil discovery and internal investigations and drafted supporting legal declarations. James defended depositions of expert witnesses and wrote and argued motions to dismiss and motions to compel disclosure of evidence. He also conducted investigations relating to federal and state criminal, civil and regulatory enforcement.

In his spare time, James enjoys the outdoors and has hiked extensively in the Rincon and Santa Catalina mountains around Tucson.
