Fred Huntsman is an experienced trial lawyer who defends automobile manufacturers in complex product liability litigation. He has advised on matters throughout the United States and has tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts before judges and juries. Fred has served as second chair in multiple catastrophic exposure trials and has successfully tried numerous cases in many plaintiff-friendly jurisdictions in Texas, including the Rio Grande Valley and in other states.
Fred has litigated cases involving a full range of automotive technologies including airbags, seats, seat belts, doors and door latches, vehicle roofs and window glazing. He has developed strong working knowledge in a number of technical fields as a result of his work preparing, deposing and cross examining expert witnesses in a variety of disciplines including accident reconstruction, biomechanics, forensic pathology, automotive design and neuropsychology.
In addition to handling product liability matters involving automobiles and industrial machinery, Fred has provided counsel in business and commercial litigation, defending clients in personal injury, warranty and breach of contract disputes. He has also handled toxic tort disputes and represented one of the nation's largest integrated energy companies in high-exposure benzene cases.
In his free time, Fred enjoys going to the movies and is an active supporter of his kids’ sports teams.
