Emily M. Plunkett


Emily Plunkett defends products and manufacturers in product liability actions.

Before joining Bowman and Brooke, Emily served for six years as law clerk to two judges in the First Judicial District of the State of Minnesota. During this time, she conducted legal research and drafted more than 550 orders, including civil orders on dispositive motions and motions to amend complaint, compel production, enforce settlement agreement, vacate judgment and dismiss for lack of jurisdiction. She also drafted orders on motions for contempt and attorneys’ fees and motions for temporary restraining order/injunction as well as orders for 50 bench trials and jury instructions for 15 jury trials.

Her work included cases involving premises liability, personal injury, medical negligence, motor vehicle collisions and negligence per se.

In her free time, Emily enjoys playing tennis, golfing, walking, running, skiing as well as watching sports. She also enjoys travel, having visited 47 U.S. states and 14 countries, including her homeland of Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day.
