Elizabeth A. Favaro


Liza Favaro is a dynamic trial attorney defending corporations in product liability and consumer actions, including personal injury, commercial matters, and class action litigation.  With more than 11 years of courtroom experience, she has managed and tried litigation matters in a variety of disputes across the State of Michigan and the country, including in state and federal trial and appellate courts and arbitration proceedings.

Liza's practice is diverse.  Her product liability defense practice focuses on automobile manufacturers and suppliers, home improvement products and construction materials, and innovative products such as autonomous vehicle technology, medical devices, and wearable technology.  Liza’s practice extends to the defense of general and automobile negligence (car accident) cases and advice and counsel concerning regulatory compliance, particularly with respect to emerging legal issues.  Liza's consumer products clients rely on her to advise them on product warnings and packaging instructions.  Liza’s experience is rounded out with commercial litigation and executive employment matters, including non-compete agreements, trade secrets, insurance coverage, and franchise law.  She is a speaker and author on these and other business law matters.  

Liza is active on the firm's Diversity and Inclusion Committee and in her local legal community. Before becoming an attorney, Liza was an investigative reporter and news anchor and received an Emmy Award for her outstanding work.  Liza resides in the Detroit area with her husband and two boys.
