Kathleen Corpus’ practice focuses on automobile product liability defense litigation and she holds significant experience with discovery coordination and eDiscovery in complex litigation and class action matters. She currently serves as national discovery counsel for a major automotive manufacturer on matters relating to toxic torts, class action and other product liability matters in both state and federal courts throughout the United States.
Kathy also serves the unique role as a seconded attorney for a major automotive manufacturer where she serves as in-house counsel, working closely with the in-house legal department and various business teams on the development and execution of case strategy and overall case management.
She has significant experience in defending class actions against automobile manufacturers in federal courts throughout the United States, many of which assert various fraud, and breach of warranty claims.
Through her experience, Kathy has developed particular skills in discovery management. This includes the development and implementation of protocols for handling all aspects of case discovery including case strategy, case management conferences, claw back agreements, deposition protocols, ESI agreements, protective orders, privilege logs and document collection and review. She is actively involved in all areas of the discovery process, including discovery and dispositive motions, drafting case management orders, initial disclosures, discovery requests and responses, and overseeing the entirety of the document collection and review process on large scale document review projects (electronic and paper), including the supervision of document review teams, as well as contract document reviewers. She also has extensive experience preparing corporate employees who give testimony in depositions and at trial.
