With a “larger than life” presence, Chris Fowlkes is an accomplished attorney with a diverse product liability and commercial litigation practice. A former University of Minnesota football player, Chris’s stature alone can be intimidating to courtroom opponents, but it is his skill in defending his clients that makes him a real threat to opposing counsel.
Chris is a partner with experience defending Global 500 companies within the automotive, medical device, pharmaceutical, chemical and consumer product industries. He defends his clients in high-profile cases ranging from complex product liability litigation and multi-party commercial litigation matters throughout the United States. Additionally, he is well-versed in pattern and class action litigation. He currently is working on IVC filter litigation, which is ongoing.
Throughout his practice, Chris has tried several difficult and sophisticated cases, serving as both first- and second-chair. He has also represented utility companies and paint applicator manufacturers in catastrophic personal injury and property damage litigation arising out of the alleged negligence, defective design or manufacture, maintenance and/or installation of various products and services. Chris advises his clients on defense strategies to bring about the most favorable outcome in every case.
The same presence and passion Chris brings to the courtroom is also embodied in his advocacy for diversity in the legal profession. Chris serves on a number of organizations focused on diversity initiatives and was a 2013 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
