Cary Slobin focuses his practice on complex litigation and product liability defense, including class and mass actions. He is currently co-chair of the class action practice group.
Cary has a passion for helping any audience understand complex issues. This includes clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and larger groups of people. In many cases, that has meant persuading a judge, judges, or a jury to understand the value of his client’s product or process, and then create the leverage to make a successful outcome inevitable. As part of the process, he knows how to identify the critical witnesses and documents necessary to achieve the right outcome. His deep experience means this can be done with the efficiencies expected and demanded in this legal environment.
Cary’s practice has included lead counsel roles in jury verdicts, dismissals on the pleadings, certification denials, and summary judgment wins. He has defended his cases and those of others on appeal, preserving victory or reversing an erroneous result. A focus on product litigation has led him to the defend everything from individual warranty cases to catastrophic injury matters and class actions with far-reaching implications.
A 3rd generation Texan, Cary was born and raised in the Houston area and maintains strong ties to Clutch City. He suffered with the Oilers, loved Hakeem, and now enjoys the Astros. One of his toughest and most rewarding jobs is serving a group of parents and kids as a Den Leader in Cub Scout Pack 1077.
