Carly Stephani represents national manufacturers in product liability litigation around the country involving claims of personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage. No matter the product or claim, Carly exudes passion for her clients' products, commitment to the engineers who design those products, and dedication to understanding the technical complexities of a product and case.
Her experience includes investigating and defending claims brought against a major recreational vehicle manufacturer and manufacturers of medical devices, including implantable hearing devices, cardiac devices, and surgical instruments. She is confident in spearheading pre-suit investigations, handling written discovery and depositions, and drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions, with experience in both state and federal courts.
Carly endeavors to master the technical aspects of every product and case. She works closely with both in-house engineers and outside experts to fully comprehend the science behind the product and how an incident occurred. Her work often has her traveling across the country with experts to inspect incident scenes and products allegedly involved in an incident. With this boots-on-the-ground experience and strong relationships with her experts, Carly is able to fluently communicate the technical components of a case in such a way that makes the science easy to understand, giving her and her clients greater credibility with adverse experts, opposing counsel, judges and mediators.
Carly spends her time outside of work with her husband and their two dogs, J.R. and Penny. She also volunteers on the Board of Directors for Face to Face, an organization dedicated to empowering youth who are experiencing homelessness.
