Cara R. Shaffer

In her practice, Cara Shaffer defends pharmaceutical drug and medical device product manufacturers at both the state and federal level.

Cara is involved in all aspects of litigation, including answering and challenging the sufficiency of complaints, answering and propounding discovery, developing factual and legal defenses, defending and deposing expert witnesses and preparing and arguing pre-trial motions. 

She gained valuable experience as a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Justice Jeff Rose in the Third Court of Appeals in Austin, Texas and more recently as a law clerk with the Harris County Attorney’s Office in Houston, Texas. Earlier in her career Cara also served as a Judicial Intern for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Court of the Honorable Judge Lee Yeakel.
