Adele Karoum concentrates her practice handling advanced motions and appeals. She is experienced handling post-trial motions including motions for new trial, motions to alter and amend jury verdicts, motions for fees and costs and motions for stay pending appeal. Adele has successfully advocated for her appellate clients in post-trial, pre-appeal mandatory settlement conferences and mediations. She has prepared appellate briefs for actions in the Supreme Court of Nevada and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in areas including tort law, civil rights, contract law and real estate law.
In addition to handling appeals, Adele drafts and argues dispositive motions and assists trial attorneys with error preservation issues. Prior to joining Bowman and Brooke, Adele handled civil litigation and appeals in a variety of cases including tort law, business and property litigation, administrative appeals and government/municipal law matters on a broad range of Constitutional issues.
Prior to beginning her advanced motions and appeals career in private practice, Adele served as an extern for the California Court of Appeals and was a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Justice (Washington D.C.), Environmental and Natural Resources Division and the Clark County District Attorney, Civil Division in Las Vegas, Nevada.
