Arif Abrar defends manufacturers in complex product liability litigation. He has extensive court experience, having served as a prosecutor in district attorneys offices in Texas and New Mexico as well as trial defense counsel in private practice.
Arif has prosecuted or served as defense counsel in over 60 jury trials, more than 40 of them as first chair. He is experienced in both preparing and cross-examining expert witnesses, has argued more than 50 contested motions and has supervised trial attorneys and investigators. As a prosecutor, he never lost a felony jury trial in which he served as first chair. In private practice, he has handled both criminal defense and personal injury matters. Arif regularly performs voir dire, develops opening and closing statements, and all other aspects of trial.
In his free time, Arif enjoys hiking and camping with his wife – favorite destinations include Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks and natural areas in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Idaho – as well as spending time with his golden retriever, rooting for FC Barcelona and piloting private aircraft.
