Biography

An experienced lawyer in product liability, commercial and intellectual property matters, Tim Mattson has represented clients in jurisdictions all over the United States. He has tried cases in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, as well as Quebec, Canada.

He has handled a wide variety of products including all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, personal watercrafts, tractors, heavy loaders, buses, automobiles, motorcycles, spray guns, plastic winding machines, industrial grinders, batteries, anhydrous ammonia, LP gas handling equipment, and lawn and garden equipment. Tim also has extensive experience in handling cases involving children and product liability litigation.

Before starting his law practice, Tim worked as a tractor design engineer for John Deere. There he specialized in the design of transmission components and hydraulic transmission control valves. During the course of his engineering career, Tim has been awarded four patents. He has been a member of both the Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Society of Agricultural Engineers for more than 30 years.
